Neck Pain

Pain and stiffness in the neck are very common problems which affect your life in so many different ways. It can occur any place in your neck, from the base of your skull (head) to the top of your shoulders. Whether it present with sharp neck pain, dull ache, headache, or limited neck movement, instability to your head, or a sore neck can be very annoying in the majority of cases. There are also a lot of associated symptoms (Cervical Radiculopathy) such as pain or numbness in upper back, arm and hand. Most of time it’s caused by neck spinal disc disorder and imbalance of neck muscle and joints. It’s can be a triggering event such as a fall or whiplash, but mostly it a nagging pain that has been there for some time due to poor posture.

Back Pain

According to World Health Organization (WHO), 75 to 85% of people experienced back pain at least once in their lifetime. LBP is defined as discomfort in the spinal area (between the lower costal margins and gluteal folds), with or without radiation into the leg (Sciatica). It is one of the most common reasons for people missing work and seeing a doctor or physiotherapist. LBP can initiated suddenly and it’s also can be gradually worsens over time which normally activated by everyday activities, injury and overdo. It is getting aggravated by repeated and improper movement, prolonged rest or inactivity and prolonged sitting and standing .LBP present together with bowel or bladder malfunction, knot or tight point in back and legs muscle, stiffness in lower back and pain, weakness, numbness or tingling in leg or foot.

Spondylosis

It is a degenerative disorder that may cause defeat in normal spinal structure and function. It is a degenerative spinal condition like arthritis in spine which bony enlargements, called osteophytes or bone spurs. These osteophytes may protrude into surrounding tissue, and punching the nerves roots from the spinal column.

Spinal Stenosis

It is referred to an abnormal narrowing of spaces in the vertebral column.

Sciatica

Sciatica is a condition which occurs when the sciatic nerve under pressure from spinal disc, surrounding bone, muscle and ligament in lumbar spine and it’s also can occur by muscle spasm of buttock (Piriformis Syndrome). Sciatica characterized by shooting pain, numbness, tingling sensations, weakness and impaired function to the leg. Sciatica is a secondary condition to lumbar spine disc disorder, osteophytes or bone spurs in lumbar spine, Spondyloysis and Spondylolisthesis which caused narrowing of the spine (spinal stenosis) and compress part of the sciatic nerve.

Spondylolysis

It is a small stress fractures (breakdowns) in the vertebrae that can weaken the vertebrae and slips out over the below vertebrae, a condition called Spondylolisthesis.

Spondylolisthesis

Spondylolisthesis is a condition in which one of the vertebrae slips forwards on top of the vertebra below it.

Cervical Radiculopathy

It’s an abnormal conditions that arise from nerve root irritation in the neck. Cervical radiculopathy’s symptoms are pain on neck with or may without arm pain, tingling on upper back and arm, arm numbness and gradually leading to upper extremity weakness.

Scoliosis

It is an abnormal sideways curvature of the spine. The spine curvature may progress as a single curve “C” or as two curves “S”. Generally children and teens with scoliosis does not have any noticeable pain or symptoms and may not be noticeable until it has the curvature getting worse. Scoliosis cannot be cure, but it have been proved that can reduce and / or prevent curvature getting worse by proper treatment.

Ligamentum Flavum Hypertrophy

It is a condition describes when the ligamentum flavum become thicken. Ligamentum flavum degenerative or inflammatory changes lead it swelling. Its only can be detected on spinal MRI studies. In most of the cases, the Ligamentum flavum hypertrophy is an overlooked diagnosis for back pain sufferers, but in some specific cases, it’s may contribute to symptoms and may worsening the condition which can cause central spinal stenosis.

Spinal disc disorder: Degenerative, Bulging and Herniated

It is an abnormal sideways curvature of the spine. The spine curvature may progress as a single curve “C” or as two curves “S”. Generally children and teens with scoliosis does not have any noticeable pain or symptoms and may not be noticeable until it has the curvature getting worse. Scoliosis cannot be cure, but it have been proved that can reduce and / or prevent curvature getting worse by proper treatment.

Joint Pain

Joints always in high risk of injuries due to it’s designed as a poor stability structure and flexibly move to do wide and versatile range of movement. Common injuries occur in joint are soft tissue injuries such as sprains and strains as well as inflammation condition of the bursae (bursitis), tendons (tendonitis), tendon sheath (tenosynovitis) and capsule (capsulitis). The joint pain also can cause by the diseases or conditions that involve the joint itself (including arthritis, such as rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis).

Headache & Migraine

Most of time headaches and migraines arise from the neck (upper cervical) region. Which normally associated with spinal related disorders in neck that leads tight neck muscles. The tight muscle can cause the vertebra in the cervical spine out of alignment and also occiput misalignment which causes nerve irritation and ultimately, pain. Headache and migraine also can arise due to Temporomandibular joint disorders (TMJ) or Jaw problems.
